10th LIS Refresher Program
Library-Bayanihan (formerly Libraryanihan), in partnership with the University of the Philippines School of Library and Information Studies, is offering the 10th LIS Refresher Program this 2025. The LIS Refresher Program is designed for fresh graduates of library and information science programs (e.g., BLIS, MLIS) who wish to strengthen and update their knowledge in preparation for entering the library and information profession. Practicing librarians, archivists, and other information professionals are also welcome to join the program.
The program features leading professors and practitioners in the field, covering the following topics:
- Cataloging, Classification, Abstracting, and Indexing: Foundations and New Standards
- Building and Managing Collections for Libraries
- Providing Reference and Information Services
- Managing Libraries: Theory and Practice
- Utilizing Information Technology in Libraries
- Archives and Records Management: Theory and Practice
Only online formats of the LIS Refresher Program will be offered for this year. The program comes in two formats, as follows:

All formats include various course materials, lecture notes, and learning assessment tools which are accessible via our learning management system.
Due to the limited number of participants that can be accommodated in a videoconference session, the extensive format of the LIS Refresher Program can only accommodate a limited number of participants. Participants may secure their slots upon full payment of the registration fee.
Registration starts on March 1, 2025. All prospective participants of the LIS Refresher Program are required to register online. To register, visit the online registration website at http://register.libraryanihan.com. Please fill out all the required fields in the registration form and ensure that you have provided all details correctly.
All payments shall be via bank deposit only (on-site or electronic fund transfer through online banking websites/applications and third-party mobile payment service providers such as GCash and Maya). Please refer to the following details of the bank account:

The deposit slip or transaction receipt should indicate the registrant’s name and chosen format of the program, and it must be scanned in JPEG or PNG format and uploaded to the online registration website to complete the registration process. No need to send via email a copy of the deposit slip or transaction receipt to the program director, unless instructed to do so.
Registration is not valid unless the online registration process is complied with, and the registration fee is fully paid. Strictly no refund. Access credentials to the online course modules and synchronous sessions (if applicable) will be provided upon full payment of registration fee starting May 11, 2025.
